USS names Daniel Killeen to GM at Gary Works

U.S. Steel Corporation is announcing that Daniel M. Killeen has been advanced to the position of General Manager Gary Works, effective immediately.

In this position, Killeen will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of U. S. Steelís largest integrated steel making facility in Gary.

Killeen joined U. S. Steel in 1996 as a Management Associate at Gary Works. He went on to work in a series of increasingly responsible positions in the Iron and Steel Making departments at U. S. Steel's Mon Valley Work. In 2007, he relocated to U. S. Steel Serbia as the General Manager of Finishing before taking the role of General Manager of Primary Operations in 2008.

In 2009, Killeen returned to the U.S. as the Division Manager of Steel Production at Gary Works where he remained until 2011, when he returned to Europe as Plant Manager Operations at U. S. Steel Serbia before transferring to U. S. Steel Kosice, where he held roles in Operational Improvement and Safety. In 2013, he returned to Gary Works where he held a number of positions in coking, finishing, and primary operations before advancing to his current position as Plant Manager Primary Operations in 2016.
