The Northern Indiana Public Service Company is now accepting applications to fill several open positions within the company.

“In the past few months, we have had a number of retirements from NIPSCO,” said spokesperson Colleen Reilly in a statement released on Monday. “That has created immediate opportunities for job applicants.”

Currently there is a variety of positions available and hiring is underway. Positions include meter readers, customer service representatives, supervisory positions in maintenance, construction, generation, and more.

There are also job opportunities in these departments: environmental, health, and safety; supply chain; legal; operations; finance; regulatory; and engineering.

Educational requirements differ for each position, ranging from high school diploma or equivalent to a two-year technical degree to degrees in engineering, finance, or accounting.

Job descriptions and the process for submitting applications for available positions can be accessed by visiting www.nipsco.com and selecting the “Career Opportunities” link at the bottom of the page.

Candidates must apply on line. After applications are reviewed, candidates will be contacted by a representative from human resources for the next steps.
